A wise, dark, and deliciously cynical satire, Zombie Field: The Rise and Fall by Razorback is set in the near future, where a well-meaning United Nations, in an attempt to deter war and terrorism, enacts a resolution for world governments to dismantle their individual armed forces in favor of one global army under UN authority. However, the far-reaching economic effects were grossly underestimated and many nations fall into the worst economic depression in recorded history.
Without warning, a rebel army of mostly former US military servicemen, under the direction of a famous general, wages war against United Nations, starting the very world war the UN resolution set out to deter. The army quickly grows as former servicemen from all over the world enlist in the rebel army, many just because it's the only job they can find. The United States itself polarizes into those who support the rebel army, Venome, and those who support the United Nations unified army.
Smart, sassy, and sexy fighter pilot Brandi Schofield rises quickly through the ranks to become the second highest officer over the fighter division. Born to fly, her convictions about military lifestyle led her to join the army even if she can't always figure out who the bad guys are. Raucous and irreverent, she loves to break the rules, but that just might be what this war needs to win. The fact is that when your opponent is smarter and has bigger guns—you better get ready for the fight of your life. Dropped into the middle of chaos, those on the playing field had better begin thinking out of the box. The old adage "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" might just be the only way to destroy the enemy.
